Entwicklung der gewerkschaftlichen Auswirkungen auf die Löhne

Abstract

Zusammenfassung In dieser Studie werden die Auswirkungen der Gewerkschaften auf das Lohnniveau und die Trends der Gewerkschaftseffekte in China und Japan anhand von Haushaltserhebungen analysiert. Unsere Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Löhne von gewerkschaftlich organisierten Arbeitnehmern in China nach der Kontrolle für feste Effekte um fast 5 % höher sind als die Löhne von nichtgewerkschaftlich organisierten Arbeitnehmern. Im Vergleich dazu sind die Löhne der gewerkschaftlich organisierten Arbeitnehmer in Japan um mehr als 10 % höher als die Löhne der nichtgewerkschaftlich organisierten Arbeitnehmer. Wir analysieren auch die Entwicklung der Gewerkschaftseffekte auf die Löhne in China und Japan unter Verwendung von Interaktionstermini. Unsere Ergebnisse deuten darauf hin, dass die Gewerkschaftseffekte im gepoolten OLS-Modell für China stärker zunehmen, während sie für Japan schwächer werden. Im Modell mit festen Effekten ändert sich der Trend der Gewerkschaftseffekte jedoch für beide Länder vollständig. Dies zeigt, dass die Entwicklungen bei den Gewerkschaftseffekten auf die Löhne den Unterschied bei der Gewerkschaftsquote in beiden Ländern nicht erklären können.
