Abstract

Chapter 4 presents an analysis of the statistical invisibility of care economy in India using the time use statistics published by the National Statistical Office in the year 2020. It also provides an analysis of how a deficiency in public infrastructure investment can accentuate the private costs in terms of time stress for women.
