Abstract

Digital transformation has affected all spheres of public and social life, and the media is no exception. The development of online news platforms has qualitatively changed the picture of the legal regulation of the media, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to generate news content has required specialists to develop effective methods of legal regulation and prevent the risks of spreading prohibited materials, content, or false information. In this regard, the authors of the article pay special attention to the analysis of the key problems associated with the placement of AI-generated news on online platforms. They pay special attention to the consideration of the main legal approaches to the definition of news content, the legal protection of AI products, and the search for the optimal legal status of news platforms in European, American, and Russian legislation.
