Abstract

This research is aimed at analyzing the prospects for implementing major energy projects in the Russian Arctic and developing proposals for effective transport and transit support for the export of hydrocarbons and other minerals. The system of arguments prove that the energy-resource, mineral-raw materials, and transport-transit potential of the Russian Arctic can only be fully used after creating the major infrastructure and integration projects associated with the Chinese “Belt and Road” initiative, projects from India’s program for the development of innovative industrial belts of the “North-South” transport corridor, and implementing Russia’s proposals for creating a Large Eurasian Partnership. Special attention is paid to the prospects of the Indo-Siberian-Arctic trade route of the twenty-first century, based on introducing and actively using advanced transportation technologies.
