Abstract

This chapter describes the nature of entrepreneurship, and its definition, as a driving spirit for a new age of endeavour and enterprise. Backgrounding innovation, as well as empathy and creativity, the notion of the accidental entrepreneur is discussed, and the entrepreneurial spirit determined as being within the grasp of us all, and especially assistant to those who venture into the expansive realm of the next industrial revolutionary cycle. A voyage into intangibility is described and examined with examples relevant to an independent entrepreneurial journey as deemed to be personal, and at the same time relational to the universal experience of discovery when engaging with the unknown, and its uncertainties.
