Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation—Now What Do We Do?

Abstract

This chapter highlights steps to be undertaken once the business operation is up and running. After all the planning, meetings, agreements, and personnel have been put in place, the next stage is to implement all the grand ideas and see how they would run in the field. Once implementation has occurred, the process has to be monitored for compliance and evaluated to find out steps and policies that should be continued, those to be modified and the ones to be halted and a new direction for those that do not go according to plan. Some details to consider during implementation are also discussed such as budgeting and allocation of resources, communication strategies, challenges and benefits of monitoring and evaluation.
