Abstract

Transformation due to technology has been expended mostly during the pandemic encounter that is COVID-19. Workforce management becomes one of the principal functions to face such a challenging situation, especially in academics, as a part of the service industry, how to deliver quality education to students if there will be no face-to-face exchange of knowledge. The problem arises mostly due to the replacement of traditional classroom teaching with the usage of advanced teaching aids with virtual classroom teaching. For ensuring the quality of the teaching–learning system, teachers follow the advanced method of education for delivering knowledge among students. But, has this improved the quality of teaching or resulted as a time-consuming activity where the teacher is most of the time engaged in preparing study material to be uploaded? This chapter aims to contribute the literature for research on web-based teaching during and after COVID-19. The current chapter aims to project the diabolical pertinent points concerning the hindrances that come with the management of the workforce especially if it is an academician who belongs to some college or university. The chapter discusses problems they face with the constant vigilance of superiors dubiously as if they don’t know how to deliver the lecture with proof. This issue creates dissatisfaction among faculties, which transpires to have an adverse derogatory effect on teaching qualitative learning performance. Strategies are discussed at length here that may give an amicable solution for effective workforce management during and after COVID-19. So, that education sector can prosper after pandemic scenarios, and the performance of faculties will be more enhanced in the future.
