Abstract

With a GDP of 35.16 billion (current) US dollars in 2019, Uganda falls under low income category in the country classification of World Bank. High growth during the 1990s and half of the 2000s led Uganda to significantly reduce its poverty levels from 56.4% in 1993 to 19.7% in 2013–14 (ADBG 2017).
