Abstract

This chapter has established the linkage of the five dimensions of the human resources management practices with the six dimensions of knowledge management processes and then the linkage between the knowledge management processes dimensions with the three dimensions of innovation with the support of the research literature in the framework of higher education. This linkage development is one of the objectives of this research. Several views and opinions of the researchers have enabled the building of the relationship which is portrayed in the conceptual research model. While some linkages have empirical evidence, some have a strong grounding in theory. This chapter provides the foundation for the development of the structural model. The subsequent chapters would deal with the identification of the appropriate research methodologies and the testing of the relationships in the form of the hypotheses developed in this chapter.
