Analysis on the Influence Factors of the Inert Construction Waste Recycling in Chongqing

In an era of the increasing improvement of environment protection concern and the resource consciousness of efficiency maximization, how to make the construction waste regenerate and reclaim better has been under a hot topic. With a large population and the acceleration of urbanization, Chinese construction industry has a heady growth. Therefore, the amount of construction waste is rising day by day. Both the environmental pollution and the shortage of the resource have been a bottleneck of the sustainable development in China. From the perspective of industry chain, this paper analyzed the influential factors of inert construction waste in the four periods with the method of work breakdown structure (WBS): production, transportation, disposal and sales. After designing the questionnaire and interview, two critical factors that influence the present situation of Chongqing inert construction wastes were extracted with the method of PCA: the market competitiveness of recycling products and the sort management of construction wastes. From the standpoints of construction enterprises and environmental protection enterprises, some strategies and suggestions were put forward to the government departments. The research results provide a reference for Chongqing government to formulate or modify relevant laws. It also has reference value for construction enterprises to promote inert construction wastes reclamation. Moreover, it will accelerate the development of green economy and sustainable construction in Chongqing.
