Abstract

This paper explores the influences that the interorganizational relationship has on the use of ICT characteristics in the supply chain context. In particular it analyzes the emergent patterns of SCMS use considering the underlying supported business process. The performed case study confirms the positive link between relational specific attributes and the ICT characteristics in a supply chain. Further evidences suggest that the interplay of scope and aims of IOS partners and limited ICT characteristics are at the base the mis-alignment between the possible and effective patterns of use of a SCMS.
