Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit drei Jahrhunderten hat die Handelsbilanzlehre eine wichtige, zeitweilig sogar eine entscheidende Rolle in der Entwicklung der Geldtheorie gespielt. Gleich einer Geldmünze, die lange Zeit im Umlauf war, hat die Lehre im Laufe der Zeit sozusagen die Schärfe der Kanten und der Prägung eingebüßt. Sie ist angenommen worden, aber man zweifelt an ihrer Triftigkeit. Sie ist abgelehnt worden, aber man fragt sich, ob sie nicht doch bei alledem eine gute Münze in der Welt der geistigen Wechselbeziehungen darstellt.
