Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wie wahr ist der Spruch, daß man den Wald vor Bäumen nicht sieht. Wenn wir die Produktionsverhältnisse der Industrieländer und der transatlantischen Länder besprechen, so denken wir selten daran, daß der Kreislauf der Erde um die Sonne in erster Linie` die Arbeitsverteilung der Weltwirtschaft reguliert. Das Kalenderjahr, das wir oft als eine formelle Abgrenzung des Stroms der Zeit betrachten, hat jedoch grundlegende Bedeutung für alle Gebiete des ökonomischen Lebens. Das Getreide der ganzen Welt wird gemäß dieser astronomischen Periode gesät und eingebracht, Wälder werden geschlagen, geflößt und verschifft, jedes zu seiner Jahreszeit, die Wolle wird überall im Frühling und im Herbst geschoren.
