Abstract

Zusammenfassung Vor hundertfünfundsiebzig Jahren erschien die erste Schrift der ersten nationalökonomischen Schule. Entgegen der Merkantilpolitik trat diese sogenannte physiokratische Schule dafür ein, daß es im Interesse der gesamten Wirtschaft läge, wenn die ökonomischen Gesetze sich frei geltend machten und ungehindert den Organismus des Wirtschaftslebens regulieren könnten. Der Führer der Physiokraten, Quesnay, war ursprünglich Arzt, und es lag ihm daher nahe, die Anschauungen der Anatomie auf. die Funktionen des Wirtschaftskörpers zu übertragen; der Blutkreislauf, der zu dieser Zeit allgemein bekannt wurde, gab auch ein natürliches und einfaches Bild vom gesetzmäßigen Kreislauf der Güter.
