Abstract

Zusammenfassung Globalisierung als MegatrendMegatrend drängt viele Unternehmen dazu, den Schritt in andere Länder zu wagen. Dies geschieht entweder durch den gezielten Aufbau von Niederlassungen oder durch Merges&Acquisitions-Aktivitäten. Dabei werden sie von zahlreichen Herausforderungen begleitet, wodurch immer noch eine große Anzahl der Unternehmen an Globalisierungsvorhaben scheitert. Die wesentlichsten Hürden werden im folgenden Kapitel beschrieben: Führung, Distanz, Change-Management, Organisation, Technologie, Kultur und Mindset. Das Wissen über die Ursachen dieser Herausforderungen ist für Global-Leader relevant, da jede Herausforderung das Risiko des Scheiterns in sich trägt. Global-Leader müssen geeignete Strategien entwickeln, um diese Risiken erfolgreich zu managen.
