Abstract

Zusammenfassung Kap. 3 bietet einen Einblick in die Arbeiten der Verhaltensökonomie. Dabei werden die Forschungsergebnisse von Daniel Kahneman und Amos Tversky zu Heuristiken und kognitiven Verzerrungen, einschließlich der Repräsentativitätsheuristik und des Ankereffekts, vorgestellt. Im Mittelpunkt steht die allgegenwärtige systematische Selbstüberschätzung, und es wird aufgezeigt, wie diese in den Urteils- und Entscheidungsprozessen des Alltags sowie in den Bereichen Alpinismus und Management zur Geltung kommt. Zudem wird auf die evolutionsbiologische Bedeutung dieser systematischen Selbstüberschätzung eingegangen.
