Abstract

Zusammenfassung Angesichts der Komplexität gesellschaftlich relevanter Themen und des ständigen Drucks durch geopolitische Krisen, globale Pandemien, Energiekrisen und Migrationsbewegungen steht die kommunale Verwaltung vor einzigartigen Herausforderungen. Eine effiziente Führungsstruktur ist erforderlich, um sowohl große Krisen zu bewältigen als auch alltägliche Aufgaben wie die Verwaltung von Bürgerbüros, Schulen und Kindertagesstätten effektiv zu bearbeiten. Die Themenvielfalt und die Möglichkeit, einen direkten Beitrag für die Gesellschaft zu leisten, bieten Chancen zur Personalgewinnung und erhöhen die Attraktivität des öffentlichen Dienstes. Die Weiterentwicklung der Digitalisierung in Kommunalverwaltungen ist unerlässlich, um die digitalen Dienstleistungen für Bürger:innen zu verbessern. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt dabei auf der Untersuchung des Generationenwechsels und der Rolle junger Führungskräfte im Rathaus, wie der folgende Beitrag zeigt.
