Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit 1981 erscheint die spielbox und ist somit das älteste Print-Magazin über Spiele. Neben dem inhaltlich von Leserinnen und Lesern gewünschten Schwerpunkt Rezensionen geht es darum, die Menschen hinter den Spielen und ihre Gedanken zu beleuchten, aber auch um das Verhandeln gesellschaftlicher Themen anhand von Brettspielen. Die spielbox versteht sich dabei als Pionierin eines meinungsfreudigen, allgemein aber eher noch in den Kinderschuhen steckenden, breit aufgestellten Brettspieljournalismus. Diesen Anspruch verfolgt sie seit ihrer Gründung, wie ein historischer Abriss zeigt.
