Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit dem Anspruch, Klimaneutralität mit Standortpolitik zu verbinden, ist der Green Deal das ehrgeizigste Projekt in der Geschichte der Europäischen Union. Der Beitrag zeigt, wie die Instrumente des Green Deal darauf angelegt sind, Klimaschutzziele mit wirtschaftspolitischen Rahmenbedingungen verbinden – wie beispielsweise das Programm „Fit for 55“ oder die Berichtspflicht zu Nachhaltigkeitsaspekten. Unternehmen müssen künftig tragfähig innerhalb der planetaren Grenzen wirtschaften. Der Beitrag ist ein starkes Plädoyer dafür, in der sozial-ökologischen Transformation die Chancen für die Wirtschaft zu sehen. Auch im ureigenen Wirtschaftsinteresse zeigt sich die Notwendigkeit zur Transformation immer drastischer, Standortentscheidungen und Investitionen wenden sich vom fossilen System ab. Der Beitrag schließt mit der These, dass der Green Deal dafür sorgen kann, dass der Weg zur Klimaneutralität das größte Wirtschaftsprogramm seit der Erfindung des Computers wird.
