Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der NWB Verlag (kurz: NWB) – einer der führenden Fachverlage für Steuer- und Rechnungswesen-Profis sowie Wirtschaftsprüfende – richtet seit vielen Jahren sein Kerngeschäft als auch sein unternehmerisches Entscheiden und Handeln auf die Leitidee des „nachhaltigen Wirtschaftens“ aus. Mit einer Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie steuert der Verlag zielgerichtet seine wesentlichen Nachhaltigkeitspotenziale und vertieft so Schritt für Schritt die eigene Leistung für mehr Nachhaltigkeit. Dabei spielt auch das Handlungsfeld „Klima“ eine zentrale Rolle. Deswegen hat sich NWB in 2021 seinem strategischen Ziel gewidmet, seine Klimawirkung vollumfänglich zu verstehen, um nun auch in der Produktion der Druckerzeugnisse klimaneutral zu wirtschaften. Dazu hat NWB den unternehmens- und produktspezifischen CO2-Fußabdruck erfasst, um die Klimawirkung entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette (Scope 1, 2 und 3) zu messen und auf der Basis wirkungsvolle Klimaschutzmaßnahmenn zu identifizieren. Dabei ist und bleibt der Anspruch bei NWB: reduzieren vor kompensieren.
