Abstract

Zusammenfassung Führung wird auch heute meist noch als soziale Einflussnahme verstanden, um Personen dazu zu bringen, bestimmte Aufgaben wahrzunehmen und Ziele zu erreichen. Warum aber ist das überhaupt notwendig? Was genau ist die Leistung von Führung? Um diese Fragen zu beantworten, wollen wir zunächst anhand eines ganz einfachen Arbeitsverhältnisses, nämlich dem des Handwerks, reflektieren, unter welchen Bedingungen hierarchische Führung funktioniert, aber auch warum sie in der heutigen Arbeitswelt so oft an Grenzen stößt. Anschließend werden wir aufzeigen, warum Arbeitsprozesse eine professionelle Steuerung benötigen, diese aber in weiten Teilen besser beim Handelnden selbst als bei der Führungskraft aufgehoben ist.
