Abstract

Zusammenfassung Diejenigen von Ihnen, die ein Aquarium haben, wissen, wie empfindlich Fische in Bezug auf die Wasserqualität sind. Mehrere Faktoren müssen berücksichtigt werden, darunter die Reinheit des Wassers, die Temperatur, die Frage, wie oft man das Wasser wechseln muss, dessen Sauerstoffgehalt usw. Ein Fisch überlebt möglicherweise nicht allzu lang in einer Umgebung, in der das Wasser nicht seinen Bedürfnissen entspricht. Sie können die Parameter in einem Aquarium ändern, aber Sie müssen das sehr schrittweise und innerhalb eines bestimmten Bereichs tun. Nur sehr wenige Fische können sich an signifikante Veränderungen anpassen. Der Lachs ist eine der wenigen Arten, die mit einer kompletten Veränderung der Wasserbedingungen zurechtkommen. Ein Lachs lebt im salzigen Meerwasser, schwimmt aber zur Brutzeit die Süßwasserflüsse hinauf (Abb. 6.1).
