Abstract

Zusammenfassung Jeder von uns hat Eigenverantwortung für seine Karriere. Das ist die Hauptbotschaft dieses Kapitels. Es ist erstaunlich, wie viele Menschen zu erwarten scheinen, dass andere, etwa die Personalabteilung oder ihre Manager, dies in ihrem Namen tun sollten. Die Leute erzählen mir manchmal, dass sie überrascht sind, dass niemand sich anbietet, ihnen bei ihrer beruflichen Entwicklung zu helfen, um diese voranzubringen. Meine Empfehlung lautet: Setzen Sie sich selbst ans Steuer! (Abb. 5.1)
