Abstract

Zusammenfassung Familienunternehmen tragen viel Verantwortung. Darunter auch die Verantwortung für ihre eigene Zukunfts- oder auch „Enkelfähigkeit“. Doch das System der Unternehmerfamilie ist vielschichtig und heute besonders intensiven Veränderungen unterworfen. Dadurch entstehen Zwischenräume: Zonen des Nicht-Definiten und Unsicheren, die es den Entrepreneuren und Entrepreneurinnen zunächst nicht leicht machen, Werte sinnvoll an die nächsten Generationen weiterzugeben. Ganz speziell gilt das für den Zwischenraum der Lebenspartnerwahl innerhalb einer Unternehmerfamilie. Gleichzeitig können diese Zwischenräume sehr produktiv sein und gerade erst die gewünschte Kontinuität gewährleisten, da sie Familie und Unternehmen für wertvolle Transformationsprozesse öffnen. Es gilt also, diese Räume nicht zu umschiffen oder zu überbrücken, sondern sie bewusst zu betreten, zu gestalten und für eine kreative Strategiekultur zu nutzen. Ein hilfreiches Werkzeug dafür kann der Aufbau eines Familienbüros sein.
