Abstract

Zusammenfassung Arnd Bornemann begleitet Transformationsvorhaben für internationale Handels- und Touristikunternehmen. Er hat viele Jahre im Ausland verbracht und dabei in sehr volatilen Geschäftsumfeldern gearbeitet. Anhand verschiedener Stationen seines Berufsweges beleuchtet er, inwieweit Karriereschritte intuitiv aus dem Bauch oder rational auf Grundlage konkret greifbarer Fakten getroffen werden. Dabei beschreibt er nicht nur sein eigenes Vorgehen, sondern nimmt auch eine Analyse der Entscheidungsgrundlage seiner Arbeit- und Auftraggeber vor. Die Erkenntnisse sind auf empirischer Grundlage und analytisch hergeleitet sowie treffsicher. Aber sind sie damit auch messbar? Nein! Und warum? Weil das Bauchgefühl bei Karriereentscheidungen eine einflussreiche Rolle spielt.
