Abstract

Zusammenfassung Neben einem erfolgreichen Aufbau einer Datenorganisation ist das Wissen über Daten und der Umgang mit diesem Wissen eine Schlüsselkompetenz, um erfolgreich den Herausforderungen der digitalen Transformation in Unternehmen zu begegnen. Die Bedeutung von Daten in Systemen und Datenbanken zu verstehen, ist die Grundlage für breites Datenwissen im Unternehmen und die Basis für eine gute Data Governance. Viele Unternehmen folgen heute noch keinem einheitlichen und strukturierten Standard bei der Definition von Daten und müssen deshalb unnötig hohe Aufwände investieren, um innerhalb von Teams und Projekten eine gemeinsame Wissensbasis herzustellen.
