Abstract

Zusammenfassung Eine große Anzahl von Data Governance Initiativen scheitert bereits in der Implementierungsphase. Die Gründe für das Scheitern sind vielfältig und häufig sehr individuell. Schaut man aber auf die andere Seite und sucht nach Gemeinsamkeiten bei den Data Governance Implementierungen, die nachhaltig erfolgreich sind, so erkennt man eindeutige Erfolgsfaktoren, von denen man für die Entwicklung einer eigenen Data Governance lernen kann. In diesem Kapitel zeigen wir auf, welche Bedeutung die Bereitstellung von Ressourcen, die Identifikation von Themen und Herausforderungen als Einführungstreiber und die Befähigung der Mitarbeiter in den Datenmanagementfähigkeiten für den Implementierungserfolg einer Data Governance haben können. Darüber hinaus vertiefen wir erste weiche Faktoren wie Mehrwert-Prinzipien, Organisationsstrukturen, Kommunikation und Unternehmenskulturen. Dieses Kapitel ist wie ein guter Kompass gedacht, der Sie schon direkt am Anfang davor bewahren soll, von dem erfolgreichen Implementierungsweg einer Data Governance Einführung wieder abzukommen.
