Abstract

Zusammenfassung Als Führungskraft erfolgreicher werden mit Hilfe eines effektiveren Managements. Unter diesem Leitsatz führt dieses Buch den Leser in sieben Kapiteln durch die wesentlichen Entwicklungen der öffentlichen Verwaltung im Managementkontext und vermittelt Grundlagen, die als Basiswissen Führungskräften zu einem erfolgreicheren Management verhelfen können. In ersten Kapitel werden ausgehend von aktuellen Herausforderungen der öffentlichen Verwaltung, denen Führungskräfte in öffentlichen Verwaltungsorganisationen im Führungs- und Managementalltag begegnen, Grundlagen beschrieben, mit denen Management erfolgreicher umgesetzt werden kann. Es wird zu der Fragestellung hingeleitet, warum sowohl die Entwicklungen der öffentlichen Verwaltung wie auch Grundlagen und theoretisches Basiswissen zu verschiedenen Managementtheorien und insbesondere deren Kenntnis für Führungskräfte von Relevanz sind. Ziel ist es, Führungskräften Wege aufzuzeigen, ein erfolgreicheres Management in der öffentlichen Verwaltung zu etablieren.
