Chinas komplexe Digitalwelt – Ein Überblick von Alibaba bis Zhihu

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit 58.990 Patenten überholte China im Jahr 2019 zum ersten Mal die USA bei der Anzahl der Anmeldungen und gelang an die Spitze des Welt-Rankings (DPMA 10.11.2020). Von der Werkbank der Welt verwandelt sich China zunehmend in ein innovatives Technologieland mit fast einer Milliarde Mobile-Only Internetnutzern. Das digitale Mindset und die Offenheit der Bevölkerung für neue Technologien, gepaart mit einer pragmatischen Mentalität und Flexibilität, führen dazu, dass China über ein eigenes digitales Plattform-Ökosystem verfügt und nach und nach auch unsere digitale Zukunft mitgestaltet. Mit den Tech-Giganten Baidu 百度, Alibaba 阿里巴巴, Tencent 腾讯 und ByteDance 字节跳动, der sogenannten BAT(+B)-Konstellation, macht China große Fortschritte in Bereichen wie 5G, Künstliche Intelligenz (KI), autonomes Fahren, digitale Bildung und E-Health. Doch die Verschlechterung der chinesisch-amerikanischen und chinesisch-europäischen Beziehungen bewirkt eine Spaltung des chinesischen und westlichen Internets und führt zu einem ausgeprägten Tech-Nationalismus in China. Umso wichtiger ist es in diesem Zusammenhang, die chinesische Digitalwelt und die Mentalität dahinter zu verstehen und China nicht zu unterschätzen.
