Abstract

Zusammenfassung Eine Auslandsentsendung bedeutet in vielen Fällen nicht nur Veränderungen für den Expatriate selber, sondern auch ein völlig neues Umfeld für zahlreiche mitreisende – selbstbestimmte und starke – Partner. Der Beitrag erklärt anhand von Erfolgsfaktoren aus der Teamforschung, welche besonderen Beziehungsdynamiken sich im Rahmen der Entsendung für den Expatriate sowie den mitreisenden Partner, die als Team das Projekt „Auslandsentsendung“ verantworten, ergeben können. Es wird erörtert, welche Bedeutung Vertrauen, neue Rollenverteilungen sowie die Struktur einer Entsendung für die Zufriedenheit des Paares und damit auch für den Gesamterfolg haben. Die Autorin entwirft ausgehend von dieser Analyse bedeutsame Coachingfragen für die Arbeit von Expatriate-Coachs, aber auch für das entsandte Paar selber sowie Personalmanager, die die Auswahl und Begleitung von Expatriates verantworten.
