Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Beitrag werden auf der Basis langjähriger Erfahrungen aus der Beratung und Unterstützung von Feuerwehren, Katastrophenschutz, Polizei, Militär, Banken, Versicherungen und Institutionen sowie Diskussionen mit Personen aus Wissenschaft und Ausbildung praxisnahe Ansätze zu Themen der Stabsarbeit skizziert und bewertet. Zunächst wird auf die besonderen Herausforderungen und Rahmenbedingungen eingegangen, unter denen Stabsarbeit stattfindet. Einige Prinzipien und Methoden der Stabsarbeit ziehen sich übergreifend – mehr oder weniger stark ausgeprägt – durch alle Branchen und Bereiche. Dies bietet eine Möglichkeit, daraus theoretisch fundierte, anwendungsorientierte „best practices“ abzuleiten und zu erörtern. Aus den Ergebnissen resultieren Empfehlungen und Kriterien, mit denen eigene Methoden und Unterstützungswerkzeuge beurteilt werden können.
