Abstract

Zusammenfassung Stäbe, ursprünglich aus dem Militär stammend, gibt es in vielen Organisationen – Behörden, Unternehmen und Institutionen – in unterschiedlichsten Varianten. Gemeinsam ist den unterschiedlichen Konzepten, dass ein Stab ein Gremium zur Unterstützung von Führungspersonen ist. Die Formen der konkreten Umsetzung reichen von operativ tätigen Notfallstäben hin zu rein beratenden Unternehmenskrisenstäben. Die Mitglieder rekrutieren sich aus dem professionellen Krisenmanagement bis hin zur persönlich betroffenen Unternehmensleitung. Stäbe werden zumeist in solchen Situationen einberufen, in denen Entscheidungsbedarf bei erhöhtem Koordinationsaufwand besteht. Ihre Aufgaben sind im Wesentlichen Informationsmanagement und Entscheidungsvorbereitung. Hierzu haben sich spezifische Strukturen und Prozesse der Stabsarbeit herausgebildet.
