Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bitcoin ist im Hinblick auf die Rückverfolgbarkeit der Transaktionen die transparenteste Zahlungsmethode der Welt: Jede Transaktion im Netzwerk kann bis zu ihrem Ursprung zurückverfolgt werden, und jedes Konto, das jemals mit Bitcoin oder einem Teil davon verbunden war, ist in ähnlicher Weise rückverfolgbar. Obwohl jeder sehen kann, wie und wann Bitcoins bewegt wurden, ist die Identität des Inhabers entsprechender Konten unbekannt (Tapscott und Tapscott D 2018). Daher ist Bitcoin technisch gesehen eher eine pseudonymisierte als eine anonyme Währung – ein Unterschied, der in diesem Kapitel behandelt wird. Zum Vergleich: Stellen Sie die Rückverfolgbarkeit von Bitcoin-Transaktionen denen realer Finanzsystemen gegenüber, wo die Eröffnung eines Bankkontos eine eindeutige und streng regulierte Identitätsprüfung erfordert, die Herkunft der Gelder jedoch grundsätzlich weder von privaten noch von öffentlichen Instanzen nachvollzogen werden kann.
