Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die meisten tradierten Unternehmen verfügen über einen unterschätzten Hochleistungssportler im eigenen Verantwortungs- und Gestaltungsbereich: das Supply Chain Management. Die Potenziale aus der Digitalisierung sind hier bereits in vielen Unternehmen sichtbar und werden weiter zur Hebung neuer Wettbewerbsvorteile und Marktanteile ausgebaut. Trotz dieser Erfolge ist die begleitende Unternehmensrealität, dass das Supply Chain Management zu einer Unterstützungs- und Umsetzungsfunktion der Lösungen vorgelagerter Prozessinhaber degradiert ist. Dies erzeugt mindestens fünf schmerzliche und teuer zu zahlende Effekte. Durch neue Gestaltungsprinzipien für Supply Chains in der VUCA-Welt können Unternehmen jedoch die Basis für eine andauernde Kundenbegeisterung schaffen. Wichtig hierfür ist ein neu aufgesetztes Reputations-Management entlang der gesamten Supply Chain. Dies ist und bleibt eine Managementaufgabe, zu der auch ein wirkungsvolles und verzahntes Lernumfeld aller beteiligten Disziplinen gehört.
