Abstract

Zusammenfassung Oxfams zentrales Ziel ist eine gerechte Welt ohne Armut. Zu unserer Arbeit und unserem Selbstverständnis gehört es, Menschen darin zu unterstützen, ihre Rechte wahrzunehmen. Daher wollen wir strukturellen Ursachen von Ungleichheit auf den Grund gehen, um diese zu verändern. Die Konsequenz ist ein am Menschen ausgerichtetes Wirtschaftssystem, das systematisch und strukturell einen Beitrag zu einer gerechten Welt leistet. Zentral für diese Wirtschaftsordnung sind die Gewährung sozialer Rechte und die Befriedigung von Bedürfnissen aller Menschen sowie die Einhaltung der planetaren Grenzen. In anderen Worten: Zu einer gerechten Welt ohne Armut gehört das gute Leben für alle statt eines Lebens auf Kosten anderer, und dies hat viel mit unserem Wirtschaftssystem zu tun. Derzeit steht die Welt vor einer dreifachen Krise: einer sozialen, einer ökologischen und einer demokratischen. Diese massiven Herausforderungen zeigen uns, dass wir unsere Art zu wirtschaften sowohl im Inland als auch weltweit verändern müssen. Doch was muss sich ändern, damit wir alle jetzt und in Zukunft ein gutes Leben führen können? Wie kann Arbeit neu gedacht und verteilt werden? Was muss jeder Einzelne tun, um zu einer am Menschen orientierten Wirtschaft beizutragen?
