Abstract

Zusammenfassung In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten hat sich die KI von einem Nischenthema der Forschung zu einer Schlüsseltechnologie entwickelt, die in vielen Bereichen der Wirtschaft und des täglichen Lebens zum Einsatz kommt. Für Unternehmen birgt KI ein enormes Potenzial – von der Optimierung von Geschäftsprozessen (Barenkamp, 2022) bis hin zur Entwicklung neuer Geschäftsmodelle (Knapp, & Wagner, 2019). Um die Potenziale nutzen zu können, müssen Unternehmen jedoch zunächst verstehen, wie KI funktioniert, wie sie sich von traditionellen Technologien unterscheidet und wie sie erfolgreich eingesetzt werden kann. Dieses Kapitel widmet sich zunächst der Geschichte der KI, um ein besseres Verständnis ihrer Entstehung und Entwicklung zu gewinnen. Anschließend werden die Unterschiede zwischen traditioneller Programmierung und der Programmierung von KI-Modellen und -Systemen erläutert.
