Nachhaltige Beschaffung im europäischen Städtetourismus

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag befasst sich mit dem Thema nachhaltige Beschaffung aus Sicht des europäischen Städtetourismus. Nachdem die Forschung zu dieser Thematik noch in den Kinderschuhen steckt, wurde ein explorativer, qualitativer Forschungsansatz gewählt. Im Zuge dessen führten die Autoren E-Mail-Interviews mit Vertretern von Destinationsmanagementorganisationen (DMOs) europäischer Städte durch. Neun DMOs beantworteten den Fragenkatalog: Aarhus, Barcelona, Berlin, Genua, Hamburg, Kopenhagen, Lissabon, London und München. Nach Auswertung aller Interviews konnten die Autoren die Antworten der Interviewpartner in vier Themen gruppieren, die allesamt eine hohe Wichtigkeit für die DMOs im Rahmen der nachhaltigen Beschaffung aufweisen. Diese sind (1) vorrangige Nachhaltigkeitsbezogene Aktivitäten und Strategien, (2) Berichts- und Zertifizierungsaktivitäten seitens DMOs und Tourismusunternehmen, (3) Beziehungen zwischen DMOs, Tourismusunternehmen und Lieferanten, sowie (4) nachhaltige Beschaffung im Hinblick auf die Digitalisierung und die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Destinationen.
