Abstract

Following a comprehensive literature analysis, this article examines the key sustainable framework conditions (CSDDD, CSRD, CBAM, and PCF) that characterize strategic procurement management at Voith Turbo, a Group Division of the Voith Group. Voith is a global company for machine and plant manufacturing based in Heidenheim. The company is faced with the challenge of fulfilling regulatory requirements as well as internal and customer-related requirements for sustainable procurement. In this context, Voith Turbo has further developed the existing supplier nomination process in accordance with the QCDS principle (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Sustainability). Sustainability criteria are now comprehensively incorporated into every phase of the supplier search, selection, contract design and cooperation. These measures minimize potential procurement risks and consistently align strategic procurement management with sustainability requirements.
