Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das NORDEN Festival in Schleswig ist ein genreübergreifendes Kulturfestival mit Künstler:innen aus Norddeutschland und Nordeuropa, das Musik, Literatur, Film, Straßentheater und Workshops für ein breites Publikum vereint. Es verfolgt umfassende Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien durch die Nutzung von 100 % Ökostrom, Mehrweggeschirr und regionalen, saisonalen Lebensmitteln, die in der KreativKüche zu einem vegetarisch-veganen Catering verarbeitet werden. Die barrierefreie Gestaltung des Festivalgeländes und die Einbindung von Maßnahmen für Inklusion, wie Gebärdensprachdolmetschende und Induktionsschleifen, fördern eine gleichberechtigte Teilhabe. Das NORDEN Festival setzt Maßstäbe in der Verbindung von kulturellem Angebot, ökologischer Nachhaltigkeit und sozialer Inklusion und zeigt Potenziale für eine zukunftsweisende Festivalgestaltung auf.
