Von der Organisationskultur zur Patientensicherheitskultur

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag grenzt die Begrifflichkeiten Kultur, Organisationskultur, Sicherheitskultur und Patientensicherheitskultur ab. Weiter zeigt er einen Umgang mit den Begrifflichkeiten auf. Hierdurch kann das semantische Durcheinander ein wenig geordnet werden sowie mögliche Fehler im Voraus vermieden werden. Das Bemühen um eine zielgerichtete Veränderung der Organisationskultur für eine bessere Sicherheitskultur beziehungsweise spezifischer für eine gesteigerte Patientensicherheitskultur wird in der Theorie als lohnenswert beschrieben. Einige Reviews und Studien konnten bereits positive Ergebnisse aufzeigen, eine höhere Sicherheitskultur führte zu weniger Unfällen, ähnliche Ergebnisse dürfte es bei dem Konzept der Patientensicherheitskultur geben.
