Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ein personalwirtschaftliches Ziel von Unternehmen muss es sein, die Mitarbeiterkapazitäten aus Effizienzgründen so flexibel wie möglich am Arbeitsaufkommen auszurichten. Der Einsatz von Zeitarbeitnehmern ist hierbei eine bedeutende Handlungsalternative. Personaldienstleistungsunternehmen ermöglichen ihren Kunden neben einer bedarfsgerechten, schnellen Beschaffung und Freisetzung von Personal, unter Umständen auch eine insgesamt kostengünstige Beschäftigung. Herausgestellt werden zahlreiche Chancen der Zeitarbeit für das entleihende Unternehmen, aber auch die Risiken, die damit verbunden sind. Diese Chancen und Risiken werden dabei mitunter denen der relevanten Flexibilisierungsalternativen gegenübergestellt. Insbesondere im Vergleich zur befristeten Beschäftigung stellt die Zeitarbeit bei kurzen Beschäftigungsdauern auch die kostengünstigere Option dar.
