Zusammenfassung Lineare Optimierung ist keine Produktionstheorie sondern eine mathematische Problemklasse mit wohldefinierten theoretischen Eigenschaften, für die effiziente Lösungsalgorithmen verfügbar sind (vgl. etwa Dantzig, 1951; Klotz & Newman, 2013). Und dennoch sind lineare Optimierungsmodelle über die letzten Jahrzehnte hinweg zu Standardmodellen zur Beschreibung von Produktionsaktivitäten in der Energiewirtschaft – und dort vor allem der Elektrizitätswirtschaft – geworden (vgl.
