Abstract

Zusammenfassung Gerade Einsatzkräfte, aber auch andere Berufsgruppen haben eines gemeinsam: sie alle sind regelmäßig besonders belastenden Ereignissen ausgesetzt. Situationen, denen andere Menschen in ihrem ganzen Leben kaum begegnen werden, gehören bei ihnen zum dienstlichen Alltag und zu den täglichen Herausforderungen. Solche Situationen werden gemeinhin schnell als „Trauma“ bezeichnet. Um in der weiteren Folge Möglichkeiten darzustellen, Traumafolgen zu vermeiden und die Segel so zu setzen, dass wir trotz der Herausforderungen mental stark und gesund bleiben, klären wir zunächst, was überhaupt unter „Trauma“ zu verstehen ist.
