Abstract

Zusammenfassung Fan, aus dem lateinischen „fanaticus“ (besessen, rasend – auch in Anlehnung an fanum – Tempel mit Bezug auf Religion, Glaube) bezieht sich auf eine Person, die von einer Sache oder Person völlig begeistert ist und dieser Begeisterung sehr viel Zeit, Energie und/oder finanzielle Mittel widmet. Damit geht meist eine starke emotionale Bindung einher, die dazu führt, dass Fans, so z. B. beim Fußball sehr treu, aber auch gefühlsmäßig sehr abhängig im positiven, wie negativen Sinne von den Ereignissen rund um ihren Verein sind.
