Abstract

Zusammenfassung Beratung hat als schöpferisches Kulturelement eine lange Tradition. Der Blick auf die historische Entwicklung und die begrifflichen Implikationen des Phänomens liefert dabei auch Hinweise auf die mögliche Ausrichtung von Beratung in Gegenwart und Zukunft. Ebenso trägt die Frage nach den Ursachen für das insgesamt hohe Beratungsbedürfnis in der postmodernen Gesellschaft und insbesondere für den enormen Erfolg der Consultingbranche einiges zur Erklärung unseres heutigen Verständnisses von sowie unseres Umgangs mit Beratung bei – und eröffnet zugleich Ansatzpunkte für einen möglichen Perspektivwechsel.
