Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit dem 01.01.2024 gelten für sämtliche große, kleine und mittlere Unternehmen sowie Mutterunternehmen großer Gruppen verbindliche Standards in ihren Management- und Jahresberichten über die Auswirkungen der Unternehmensaktivitäten auf Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte. Neben der verpflichtenden gesetzlichen Berichterstattung, ergeben sich für kleine und Mittelständische Unternehmen jedoch auch Chancen (von den üblichen strategischen Marktchancen abgesehen) hinsichtlich günstigerer Finanzierungskosten auf den Kapitalmärkten. Gleichzeitig ist die Erfassung sämtlicher ESG-relevanter Daten aktuell in den meisten Fällen mit einem hohen personellen Ressourceneinsatz und der Zusammenführung von Daten aus verschiedensten Datenquellen verbunden. Gerade hinsichtlich des gegenwärtigen Fachkräftemangels und durch dessen absehbare Verschärfung in der Zukunft, müssen hier geeignete Strategien und technologische Wege gefunden werden, um diese wichtige Aufgabe weiterhin vollumfänglich zu bewerkstelligen.
