Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die CSRD-Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung erweitert den Kreis der berichtspflichtigen Unternehmen erheblich. Die Nachfrage nach Nachhaltigkeitsinformationen ist inzwischen sehr hoch. Dies umfasst nicht nur die Bereitstellung von sachgerechten und entscheidungsrelevanteren Informationen, die es den verschiedenen Stakeholder-Gruppen ermöglichen, die Nachhaltigkeit des wirtschaftlichen Handelns von Unternehmen einzuschätzen. Eine wesentliche Komponente dabei ist auch die Erhöhung der Zuverlässigkeit und Glaubwürdigkeit der Informationen. Daher wurde für die Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung nach CSRD erstmals eine inhaltliche Prüfungspflicht gesetzlich vorgeschrieben. Der vorliegende Beitrag zeigt das Erfordernis der Prüfung auf und gibt einen Überblick über den derzeitigen Stand der Gesetz- und Richtliniengebung zur Prüfung, wie sie im CSRD-Umsetzungsgesetz und der Exposure Draft des International Standard on Sustainability Assurance 5000 (ED ISSA 5000) ihren Niederschlag finden.
