Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Finanzindustrie treibt die Nachhaltigkeitsbemühungen unserer Wirtschaft an. Große Kapitalsammelstellen wollen nachhaltiger investieren und prüfen die Finanzprodukte, in die sie investieren, zunehmend auf deren Nachhaltigkeit. Banken knüpfen ihre Kreditvergabe an Nachhaltigkeitskriterien. Private-Equity-Fonds müssen auf beide Trends reagieren und interagieren in diesem Sinne mit den mittelständischen Unternehmen, an denen sie beteiligt sind. Strategisch eröffnet die Hereinnahme von Dienstleistern und Produktanbietern für die nachhaltige Transformation in die PE-Portfolios Synergiepotenziale, weil die Themen Ressourceneffizienz, Dekarbonisierung und Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung für praktisch alle Unternehmen relevant sind. Dieser Beitrag zeigt, wie eine Beteiligungsgesellschaft in ihrem Portfolio eine einheitliche ESG-Software-Lösung ausrollt und damit Synergien generiert sowie eine enge Begleitung der Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen durch die Investment Manager ermöglicht. Auch weitere potenzielle Synergiefelder werden dargestellt.
