Abstract

Zusammenfassung Pressesprecher:innen spielen eine entscheidende Rolle, um Anfragen von Journalist:innen zu bearbeiten und die betroffenen Anspruchsgruppen zu bedienen. Sie filtern interne Abläufe, Entscheidungen sowie Botschaften und geben diese kommunikativ nach außen. Sie sind Sprachrohr und pflegen den direkten Kontakt mit den Journalist:innen – so auch im Sport. Gerade in dominierenden Sportarten wie dem Fußball geht es für PR-Verantwortliche von Vereinen und Verbänden weniger um das Lancieren von Inhalten als vielmehr um die Steuerung und Reglementierung der Informationen, die an die Öffentlichkeit gehen dürfen. Der erfahrene (Sport-)Kommunikator Thorsten Vogt ordnet die eigene Rolle des Pressesprechers ein, holt für die Beurteilung Kolleg:innen und Journalist:innen ins Boot und beschreibt anhand von Beispielen die gängige Praxis unter anderem beim Basketballbundesligisten Bamberg Baskets.
