Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die früheren Redaktionsaußenseiter:innen haben sich in der deutschen Medienlandschaft etabliert. Mit der starken Position der Sportübertragungen insbesondere im Fußball und den einhergehenden hohen Einschaltquoten stehen viele Sportjournalist:innen gerade aus der Live-Berichterstattung im gesellschaftlichen Fokus. Die steigende Digitalisierung hin zu einer 24-h-Übertragung erhöht die Anforderungen an die Branche. Gleichzeitig sorgen Künstliche Intelligenz und vor allem die vereins- und verbandseigenen Medien für unliebsame Konkurrenz. Dieses Kapitel zeigt historische Entwicklungen auf, beleuchtet aktuelle Problemstellen und blickt in die Zukunft des Berufsfeldes Sportjournalismus.
